South Orange Rehabilitation and Wellness provides hands on, personalized Physical Therapy, by appointment, in a warm and friendly environment. We have flexible office hours including early mornings, late evenings, and Saturday mornings.

Our facility features a newly expanded and modernized, 600 sq. Ft treatment area with the latest technical advances such as a Spinal decompression unit, a cold laser, electric stimulation, and ultrasound capabilities. We offer a number of Physical Therapy options such as, manual therapy, sports medicine, post surgical care athletic care, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.

Our Physical Therapists are licensed professionals who can hep improve or restore your mobility and enhance your quality of life.  Physical Therapy can often be a healthy alternative to surgery and/or pain medication, and in many cases can help prevent injury. Before treatment begins, we will assess your condition and develop a comprehensive fitness/wellness program tailored to your specific needs. We are your partner throughout your journey to restoring motion, elevating pain, and ensuring that you continue to function at your personal best.

Dr. Priscilla AmponsahDr. Priscilla Amponsah, PT, DPT, ATC/L
Board Licensed Physical Therapist, Board Licensed in Sports Medicine

Dr. Priscilla Amponsah is a skilled, licensed professional who utilizes an evidence-based approach to providing hands-on, individualized care to her patients. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology at Saint Peter’s University, and her Master’s of Science in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine and her Doctorate in Physiotherapy from Seton Hall University.

Her experience and expertise includes acute, outpatient, and athletic care. She has treated patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Although she specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine, she applies that valuable experience to all conditions requiring Physical Therapy rehabilitation. She is currently in the process to specialize in Maitland Manual Therapy.

She enjoys building a rapport with her patients and creating patient goals that will improve their functionality and quality of life. Putting the patient first is at the heart of her practice.

Dr. Daniel RoigDr. Daniel Roig, PT, DPT

Dr. Daniel Roig PT, DPT graduated from Widener University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, completed his Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy, also at Widener.  While receiving his Doctoral degree he was a recipient of the 2008 “Contribution to the Professional Education Experience” Award. Off campus, he gained practical experience by taking part in a research based sports medicine specialty focus group, and clinical rounds with a local podiatrist treated professional and college athletes, as well as participating in an event at Penn State University where he screened football players for the upcoming season.

Since graduating and getting his license in 2009, Dr. Roig has worked with a variety of outpatient and sub-acute facilities. All of that acquired knowledge allows him to develop individualized programs and deliver the very best patient centered care possible. He sees everything from MVA’s to sports His clinical interests include manual therapy, sports medicine, he is currently working on becoming Certified in Manual Therapy, and plans to sit for his OCS.

Dr. Roig has played multiple sports in high school and played club volleyball. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and 3 children.

Dr. Kelliane JosephesenDr. Kelliane Josephesen, PT. DPT

Dr. Kelliane Josephesen, PT. DPT is originally from West Caldwell, NJ. She graduated from James Caldwell High School in 2009, and went on to study Biology at the Catholic University of America, where she was a Division III student-athlete as a member of the women’s basketball team. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. While at MGH, Dr. Kelli completed clinical rotations in outpatient orthopedics, pediatric orthopedics, and treated acute neurological conditions like strokes and spine surgeries. While in Boston, she did volunteer work for Physical Therapy related organizations such as Spaulding Rehab’s Wheelchair Basketball Team, and Kick with Care, an organization that gives adults with disabilities the opportunity to play soccer.

Dr. Kelli returned home to NJ to be closer to her family and home town. She coaches local A High School JV Soccer and Freshmen Basketball team, combining her passion for athletics with her professional interest in Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. What she loves most about South Orange Rehab and Wellness are the relationships she is able to develop by spending quality time with each patient and helping them reach their goals.
