Insurance Coverage for Physical Therapy

The amount or type of physical therapy that is covered by your insurance depends on your level of coverage and by your insurance carrier.

Can you waive my co-payment or deductible?

No. In fact, it is illegal for us as a contracted provider with your health insurance, to waive a co-payment, or deductible payment. According to your health insurance coverage contract, these must be collected appropriately. If there is a situation such as financial hardship, an arrangement must be made with out team prior to treatment.

With which insurance plans do you participate?

We participate with most major Insurance Carriers. Some of the ones we participate are Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Cigna, Aetna, United Health Care, etc. We have Patient Advocates who will call your insurance company and verify your benefits so that you can get the treatment you need.

Are you in-network?

Because we work with so many major insurance plans, South Orange Rehabilitation & Wellness may be able to provide in-network care for New Jersey residents. We’ll help you answer all of your insurance coverage questions and concerns so you can focus on getting the treatment and care you need.

Will you bill my insurance claims on my behalf?

South Orange Rehabilitation & Wellness will file your insurance claims to both your Primary Insurance Carrier Secondary Insurance Carrier (if applicable). Typically, we will bill your insurance company for the allowable amount of therapy. We will then bill you for the patient responsibility, as directed by your insurance coverage. If you like, we can check on your insurance coverage and the potential charges you will incur. Just give us a call at 973-761-0077.
